Happy Easter and a Blessed Passover
“Jesus Christ is risen today,
Alleluia.
Our triumphant holy day,
Alleluia.
Who did once upon the cross,
Alleluia
Suffer to redeem our loss,
Alleluia.
Hymns of praise then let us sing,
Alleluia.
Unto Christ our heavenly King,
Alleluia.
Who endured the cross and grave,
Alleluia.
Sinners to redeem and save.
Alleluia.
But the pains that he endured,
Alleluia.
Our salvation have procured,
Alleluia.
Now above the sky he’s King,
Alleluia.
Where the angels ever sing.
Alleluia.”
It is Holy Week. Let us focus on that which is more important than any tax policy or social construct. The vicissitudes of politics, culture, society, economics and world affairs will still be there, waiting for our analysis, next week.
Let us worship God and thank Him for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us through the sacrifice of His son.
And for my Jewish readers, the rise again of antisemitism not only in Muslim countries but here in the west is clearly of concern. Jews, as are many Christians around the world, are paying a price for their faith. Know that we Christian believers stand with the sons of Abraham in defense of your faith and ours.
Until next week, He is risen! He is risen indeed.
I remain respectfully,
Congressman John Campbell
