New Podcast Launched!! – Super Tuesday Roundup

We got too many gangsters doin’ dirty deeds.
Too much corruption and crime in the streets.
It’s time the long arm of the law, put a few more in the ground.
Send them all to their maker and He’ll settle ‘em down.
You can bet, He’ll set ‘em down.

‘Cause justice is the one thing you should always find.
You got to saddle up your boys,
You got a draw a hard line.
When the gunsmoke settles, we’ll sing a victory tune,
And we’ll all meet back at the local saloon.

We’ll raise up our glasses against evil forces, singin’,
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses.
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses.

Beer For My Horses  - Toby Keith (featuring Willie Nelson) (2003)

My new podcast with Generalissimo Duane Patterson of the Hugh Hewitt show has launched! You can find it wherever you listen to Podcasts (Apple, Spotify, iHeart, Pandora, wherever). It will come up on ANY podcast App. Just search for Look Through The Chaos and it should pop up. We plan to do two podcasts a week to release every Tuesday and Thursday. Many of you have been asking me for this and now it’s happening! Don’t miss the first episode (which posted Tuesday) as it will explain what we are doing and why and you will understand our humor a bit better.

And also follow me on X @lookthruchaos. You can follow Duane @radioblogger.

You will also see that Generalissimo Duane Patterson will be writing on these pages once a week going forward as well. For those of you who don’t know, Duane has been the producer of the nationally syndicated Hugh Hewitt show since the show was launched in 2000. Hugh is heard on more than 500 platforms now. I used to guest host for Hugh and might do some more of that in the future. So, Duane has been around the political scene for a long time and digs up things that I personally don’t see anywhere else.

So, stay tuned to this website, the new podcast, X, and the Hugh Hewitt radio show and you will have lots more content coming your way to help you navigate the chaotic times in which we find ourselves.

Now, on to Super Tuesday. The podcast has more in-depth analysis, but here are a few major takeaways that I have from the day:

Trump and Haley: Haley had enough money to go through Super Tuesday, so she did. She needed to show breadth across the 16 states that voted and depth in some of them. She did not get enough of either. She is now out and did not endorse Trump but clearly left the door open to do so. Trump needs her voters in a close election. Hopefully, he will move away from calling her “bird brain” and reconcile. Haley, I believe, wants to stay viable for an open Republican nomination in 2028. Making Trump angry won’t help that. They actually need each other. But will their egos allow that to happen?

Biden: It was basically Biden against no one. My view was that losing 20% of the vote to no one is a big problem. Less than that and he can probably recover those votes by saying “I’m not Donald Trump”. Biden got only 73% of the vote in Oklahoma, which doesn’t matter because he will lose Oklahoma. He also got only 81% in Massachusetts, which doesn’t matter because he will win there. What may be distressing to him is that he got only 70% in Minnesota vs. 19% for “uncommitted”. That may move Minnesota into swing state territory.

North Carolina: Of the 16 Super Tuesday states, only one has been a true “swing state” in the last few cycles. Trump got nearly 200,000 more votes in the North Carolina primary than Biden did, but there was more to encourage Republicans to turn out. Trump captured 74% of NC primary voters which is stronger than his performance in most of the 21 states that have voted so far. What is bad for Biden is that nearly 13% of Democrats voted “no preference.” So, while you can’t read too much into the primary results, they are certainly more favorable for Trump than Biden.

Kyrsten Sinema: And there was big news here in Arizona as independent Senator Sinema announced she would not seek reelection. It is very difficult to win an election from the middle when you have opponents on both sides, as she does. She would probably make a good “No Labels” candidate for president if that is something that interests her. I wouldn’t rule it out. The Grand Canyon State US Senate matchup will now likely pit Kari Lake against Congressman Ruben Gallego. Gallego has been running a very hard-left campaign in part to make sure that Sinema had no core Dem support. He may want to tack towards the middle now. But, it will be hard for him to run away from some of his tweets like “F-you @tedcruz you F-ing baby killer” and “if you are a Republican, you have a bunch of guns, a jacked-up truck with some cow nuts hanging in the back”. Classy he is not. But Kari Lake managed to lose the gubernatorial race two years ago to Katie Hobbs who was a worse candidate than Gallego. Every Dem will have more money this cycle. Most wealthy people are Democrats nowadays. Lake will need to run an entirely different campaign than she did in 2022 if she is to have any chance of winning.

General Election: As has been said by many, we now enter the longest presidential general election in memory since we have eight full months before November 5th. The Regime Media along with Big Tech and entertainment will make up whatever they want to try and take down Trump. After all, they made up Russia collusion and made up that Hunter Biden’s laptop was fake the last two cycles. Truth is of no concern to them. Trump needs to convince reluctant Republicans who despise him personally that they should still turn out and pull the lever. Biden is navigating very treacherous waters between his pro-Hamas /Open Border left and the vast majority of Americans who do not want another holocaust or millions of criminals streaming into our cities. I still think there is a chance that the Democrats will pull Biden at the convention, but only if they are convinced he is going to lose.

I have been remiss in not beginning the blog with a Toby Keith song ever since he passed away last month at the age of 62 from stomach cancer. He was a great musician and an even better American (and a lover of Ford trucks). When I looked in my iTunes account, I have several dozen Toby Keith songs that I have downloaded and many I know by heart. I chose the one this week because I am seeing a major uptick in crime in both Arizona and California from illegal aliens. I think it is apropos to our current situation.

To that effect, the Democrats made a hero out of George Floyd, who was a multiple violent felon, and abuser of women who died from a drug overdose (that is my belief) while in police custody for committing another crime. Our hero should be Laken Riley, who was a God-fearing girl, learning to be a nurse and loved by everyone she met. She was brutally murdered by an illegal alien who had committed multiple crimes and kept getting released.

That, my friends, is the difference between Republicans and Democrats today.

Speak her name.

I remain respectfully,
Congressman John Campbell
